Our school celebrated Marathi Diwas on 5th March 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned Marathi poet and writer V. V. Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj) and to honour the rich heritage of the Marathi language.
The celebration began with a special assembly conducted by the Marathi teachers, Mr. Brian Rebello, Mr. Nepolian Almeida, and Ms. Sheetal D’Cunha. During the assembly, students were presented with a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the significance of Marathi Diwas and the importance of preserving and promoting the Marathi language.
As part of the celebration, a Marathi Elocution Competition was organised for both junior and senior students. The participants showcased their speaking skills with confidence and enthusiasm, making the competition both engaging and inspiring.
The competition was judged by Mr. Agricio Lopes and Ms. Agatharose Cerejo, who appreciated the efforts of the participants and commended the high standard of the competition. At the end of the event, the judges shared their valuable feedback and encouraged students to continue developing their communication skills.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners and the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the judges. The event ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the Principal.
