Solemnity at it’s Best – The Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council

(2019-20) –28/6/2019

On Thursday 28th of June 2019 the Student Council of SXBA (2019 -20) were invested with their badges of honour. The Solemn ceremony commenced at 8.30 a.m. and was witnessed by Staff, Parents and Students of Stds. 7, 9 and 10 who had gathered in the School Hall.

The student council members of 2018-19 and 2019-20 marched together into the hall. The Principal of the school administered the oath of office to the school captain and vice captain after which the school captain – Atharva Damle did the same with the other council members. After the oath, the newly elected captains received their badges and their house flag from the captains and ex-captains of our school. The Principal next addressed the gathering. The school vice captain - Rudra Mahatre led the students who were among the audience to take their oath. After the ceremony and vote of thanks by the Principal, the students were sent to their respective classes. The teachers and parents blessed the newly elected council members and shared some snacks with a cup of tea. The proud parents clicked photographs with their children as they shared in our joy. A rehearsal of the above ceremony was held on 27th June 2019 for the benefit of students of Stds. 5, 6, and 8.
