P.T.A. AGM Meeting held on 3rd July 2019

The PTA AGM of St.Xavier’s Boys’ Academy - 3rd July 2019

The Annual General Body Meeting of St.Xavier’s Boys’ Academy was held on 3rd July 2019 at 12.00 noon in the School Auditorium. The Principal – Ms.Preema Noronha presided over the meeting and introduced the office bearers on stage. The minutes of the previous PTA AGM were read and approved. Parents were urged to look up the school website for the report on all the PASTOR activities of 2018-19.

The Balance Sheet and statement of PASTOR Accounts was presented by the Hon.Treasurer Mrs.Dharti Shinde and passed by the house. Mr.Abhay Arolkar our Hon.Auditor was appointed for the year 2019-20. This was passed by the house. The school was congratulated for its excellent results at the SSC Board Exam which was 100% passed with 60 distinctions, 14 first class and 4 second class. The school was also honoured by the Armed Forces for the commendable contribution made by our students for the families of soldiers who lost their lives in the defence of the country. The Vice Principal-Mr. Savio D’Mello, the Headmistress – Mrs.Yvonne Rodrigues and the newly appointed Supervisor of the Pre-Primary Section Ms. Sandra MacMahon read out the names of the Teacher Representatives and nominated names of the Parent Representatives of their respective sections. The Parent Representatives were then selected by the picking of lots - class wise.

Mr.Suresh Solanki who served our school as support staff for the past 37 years was given a token of appreciation for his commitment and dedicated service by the PASTOR.

Finally the Principal thanked all the outgoing parents for the good work done through the year and also spoke about other school matters. She once again urged parents to get involved and participate in all activities of PASTOR conducted in school and for a greater presence at all PTA meetings and not just for a selected few PTA meetings.
