We the Student-Teachers of St. Xavier’s Institute of Education commenced our teaching journey from 18th July, 2022 at St.Xavier’s Boys’ Academy (SXBA). Teachers are those who make children knowledgeable and cultured and this was one essential value that we picked from St. Xavier’s Boys Academy. We learned how to imbibe knowledge and patience in students in order to strongly shape their lives. Through this journey we used a lot of creativity and it was a great platform for us to beautifully bring out our skills for something so purposeful.

The assemblies were filled with values and laid the foundation for the day. We observed the lessons of our shadow teachers which brought about the necessary changes in our own lessons. The lessons observed were diverse which stirred our thinking and teaching skills. Activities were allotted to us by our shadow teachers which varied from helping out with creating presentations to acting out purposeful evaluation. The simplest of tasks were gratifying and filled with learning experience. At the end of the lesson our only aim was to see the student’s success towards understanding the lesson. The students of the school have shown complete faith in us and have been our inspiration to be a great teacher to make them value the learning imparted to them.

We learnt a lot from St. Xavier's Boys’ Academy and one thing what we will take back from here is to always aspire to make a difference in others’ lives through education. The internship at SXBA ended on 5th August 2022.
