The Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at St. Xavier’s Boys’ Academy on 31st July 2025.
The day commenced with students gathering in their respective houses, where they were shown a short film on the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola, giving them insight into the values, faith, and legacy of the founder of the Jesuits. This was followed by an engaging Kahoot quiz based on the film, allowing the students to reflect on and internalize the key takeaways from St. Ignatius’ inspiring life.
After the quiz, the students were treated to some delicious snacks, adding a touch of festivity to the occasion.
At 9:00 a.m., the Catholic students and staff assembled in the school hall for the Feast Mass. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Dr. Francis Swamy s.j., the Manager of our school, whose meaningful message touched the hearts of all present.
Following the Mass, there was a fellowship gathering for staff, students, and parents – a moment of unity and joy that reinforced the spirit of the ignatian family.
The celebration concluded with a music-integrated workshop by Dr. Fr. Roy Pereira s.j. on the topic: “Rewire Your Brain in the Age of Machine Learning.” The session was both interactive and enlightening, blending science, music, and personal development in a unique and engaging manner.
The celebration was a perfect blend of spiritual enrichment, intellectual stimulation, and joyful fellowship, in true ignatian spirit.
