Science Day Programme Assembly

Science Day Programme Assembly – 28th February 2020

The celebration of the Science Day programme began with an introduction which brought out the importance of Science Day. This day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ which led to our Indian Scientist Sir C.V.Raman winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

A video was played to stress the importance of recycling waste and to discourage single use plastic. The video presentation was followed by a street play in Hindi which encouraged and impressed upon all the need for the use of eco-friendly bags, cutlery and reusable containers. The students then took a pledge to make our school and homes plastic free. This assembly ended with a special prayer.
