After the immersion of Lord Ganesha idols into the Chowpatty beach, the Junior / Youth Red Cross had organised a beach clean-up drive on 29/9/2023. Few students from our school participated alongwith their parents and Mr.Brian Rebello (Staff). Boys reported at Girgaum Chowpatty beach at 3.30 p.m. as per the time allotted to them. After attendance was taken we were allotted the area where we had to clean. We began our work at 4.00 p.m. and collected plastics, clothes, garbage and Lord Ganesha’s broken idols till 5.30 p.m. Then the organisers took a group photo of our school participants alongwith parents. After that all the participants were given snacks and juice. It was fun doing such civic duties and at the same time we became aware that we are the ones who are polluting our earth and need to stop this immediately.

We are grateful to the Junior Red Cross organisation for conducting this activity. A special thanks to our Principal who gave us the permission to participate in this activity and also to those parents who accompanied their children for the beach cleaning activity.

We were happy to be role models to our boys by putting our hands to work side by side with our students.
