Beach Clean Day – 18th September 2021

I, Aarav Vengurlekar a member of NGO ‘Change in Us’ and studying in Std. 7-1 volunteered to clean the Chowpatty beach on “Beach Clean Day’’ which was organised by ‘Change in Us and Pinkathon’. I was the youngest participant among all.

‘Beach clean’ was held on 18th September 2021 at 3:30 pm. Though it was a hot and sunny day, I started my job and ended by 5:30 pm. In my message through an interview I politely requested all not to throw plastic or garbage into the sea and to ban POP Ganapatis. I feel very sad to see such garbage dumped into the water bodies the very next day of the Ganapati Visarjans. I also implored my fellow Academites and students all over, to join hands in order to make our city clean.

I thank my parents and teachers who have inspired me and from whom I have learnt many good things.
