Green line Awards 2020-21

As the Greeline Schools Campaign draws to a close, it is time to acknowledge the efforts of the Green Champs and active participation and efforts of the schools. Keeping in mind Covid safety, the Greenline Awards Ceremony this year was held online on Saturday, 27th February. 5 of our most enthusiastic participants- Yashodhan Kansara(std5), Aryan Babrdesai(std6), Aryan Bhattad(std7), Ayush Jogadia(std8) and Shradhul Rao(std9) were invited to attend the ceremony along with Ms. Marilyn, Ms. Neharika and Ms. Macrina.

The ceremony began with a welcome speech by the Director of Greenline to all the students and teacher attendant. Ms. Prakriti Bagdi then recounted in brief the tasks, sessions and workshops conducted by Greenline through the months of June to January. After the summary, the Green champs of each school were individually applauded. We are proud of our very own Green Champ Aryan Bhattad and grateful for his dedication to every task and his passion for the environment. He inspires all of us to make similar efforts to adopt a greener lifestyle and remain informed of environmental challenges facing us today.

Mrs. Melaniak Dias, who was the chief guest for the day, gave an inspiring speech on how we need to return back to more eco-friendly practices that we did in the past before plastic invaded every part of our life. She exhorted both students and adults to be brave and inspire-by-doing with small steps, small changes in one’s habits. Mrs. Dias then awarded the prizes for the winning schools. It is a matter of great pride for the Nature Club that this year our school won the second runner-up prize in this year’s GSC and was one of the top 10 schools in the group. We owe it entirely to our nature club members for staying with us on this journey of ‘Sustainability and Me’ and for their active participation in Greenline and School Nature Club activities.
