The students of Standards IX and X participated in a two-day Scout Camp at Nature Hunt Campsite, Khopoli, on 24th and 25th July. The students left school at 6:30 a.m. and reached the campsite by 8:30 a.m.
After breakfast, the camp began with exciting outdoor activities, including an adventure trail and horse riding. The students enjoyed a refreshing session in the swimming pool which was then followed by lunch. They also learnt about the importance of scouting and practised various types of knots. Later, the students visited a beautiful nearby waterfall, where they enjoyed nature and spent quality time together. The evening concluded with skits presented by the different patrols.
The second day began with an early morning wake-up call, followed by physical exercises and breakfast. The students then received hands-on training in various lashings, including the Tripod Lashing and Mark I, II and III lashings, using ropes and bamboo poles to build simple scouting structures. The camp concluded with a fun music session before the students left Khopoli at around 4:00 p.m. and reached the school by 6:00 p.m., carrying back unforgettable memories and valuable scouting skills. The camp was successfully managed under the guidance of our school teachers-Mr. Anandprakash, Mr. Brian, Mr. Nepolian, Mr. Larry, and Mr. Bhumit-whose constant support and encouragement made the camp a memorable experience. The students also benefited from the expert guidance of the external resource person, Mr. Elias, who conducted the scouting sessions with great enthusiasm.
Overall, the Scout Camp was a wonderful blend of adventure, learning and teamwork. It helped students build confidence, develop practical scouting skills, and strengthen friendships. The two days at Nature Hunt Campsite will always be remembered as a truly enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
