A two-day session on “Milestones in Jesuit Education” was successfully conducted on 10th and 11th January. The programme was well organised by Fr. Yohan, with support from Fr. Andrew, who provided the Holy Family School Hall for the sessions. The sessions were animated and led by Fr. A. John Ravi, who shared valuable insights into the history, vision, and values of Jesuit education. He highlighted key themes such as cura personalis, commitment to excellence, service of faith and promotion of justice, and magis. He also encouraged teachers to continuously update themselves, keeping in mind that the National Education Policy (NEP) will be adapted by 2030.
The role of teachers as role models in forming men and women for others was strongly emphasised. Teachers from various Jesuit schools participated enthusiastically, making the sessions interactive and enriching. Overall, the programme was meaningful and inspiring, strengthening Jesuit identity and renewing the participants’ commitment to their educational mission.
