A workshop on ‘Body safety’ was organised for the students of Class 8 on 6th September 2023 in the Sologran Hall from 11am to 12:40 pm. The resource person was Ms.Janvi Thakkar, the program manager of the NGO, HEAL (Help Eradicate Abuse through Learning). She is a Clinical Psychologist and also a visiting faculty member at Nirmala Niketan College of Social Service and St. Xavier’s College.

 It was a very interactive session and inputs were given on:

● Safe and unsafe situations

● Personal space

● Unsafe touch and consent

● Trusted adults

● How to keep ourselves safe online

● What do we do when someone makes us feel unsafe?

 Worksheets and handouts were given to the students to enhance awareness on the issue. Students were also encouraged to seek help from their teachers and school counsellors in school on this issue if needed further. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks and a token of appreciation handed over to Ms.Janvi Thakkar.
