Leadership workshop – 1/8/2022 (8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.)
Leadership is the ability of an individual or a group of individuals to influence and guide followers or other members of an organisation.
In order to develop the Leadership skills among our student council members a leadership workshop was organised for us on 1st August 2022 from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. This workshop was attended by 15 student council members as one leader was not present in school on this day for the training programme.
The resource persons were Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza sdb and Fr.Joyston Machado sdb. The workshop commenced with a warm welcome to our resource persons. A meaningful action song was taught to us and we enjoyed doing this as we learnt about many hidden values in the lyrics of the song.
The workshop included a wide range of activities. The words of wisdom shared by the resource persons encouraged the council members, the fun and interactive games added to the excitement of learning. Council members discussed many acronyms, songs (Sound of Silence by Garfield) to learn more about leadership and life in a better way. Finally various topics like leadership, guidance, will-power and true meaning of life were also discussed. The programme ended on a positive note where every student council member shared their learnings of the day and expressed their gratitude to Fr. Godfrey D’Souza and Fr.Joyston.
We thank Mr.Larry Pereira – Discipline coordinator for making himself present for all the sessions and to our Principal – Ms.Preema Noronha for the trouble taken to organise this much needed workshop for the student council members. We feel confident, passionate and have got clarity about a number of issues that were obstacles to our efficient functioning as leaders of the school and we have promised to put into use all our learnings from this workshop.
As a token of our gratitude and appreciation to the resource persons a small token was given to them which they accepted graciously.
