Report : Microgreen Workshop
The Microgreen workshop was conducted on 9th October 2020 via google meet from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The workshop was organized by Greenline to encourage students to grow microgreens and eat healthy in order to develop sustainable habits. It is grown using cocopeat mixed with soil. These microgreens can be grown using seeds like mustard, methi, fennel, coriander available in the kitchen. Microgreens can be grown in any container available at home. Radish and leafy vegetables can be grown using seeds available in the market. The microgreens take about 14 days to grow to a height of about 4 inches in order to be harvested. These can then be cut and used in soups, salads, burgers, etc. to make a healthy meal. The entire process was demonstrated for better understanding. Five of our students who attended the workshop thoroughly enjoyed the session and were encouraged to grow the same at home. I sincerely hope our students will be encouraged to grow these microgreens in order to develop healthy eating habits.
