A sensitisation programme was organised for the students of class 7 on 21st February, 2024. The session was conducted by resource members from Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC). Prior to the session the students were shown a short documentary on Hellen Keller to prepare them for the session by the class teachers. The students were provided information about the visually challenged. We were taught that people with disabilities also have their own interests. A person disabled with loss of vision was invited to our school to explain to us how the visually challenged manage their everyday chores. He also showed us how he made use  of a phone using the talk back app. He also made us aware inspite of being visually challenged  he made different instagram reels and he has many followers who follow his post. They gave us a script that explained us about the use of braille. The resource people also taught us how to write in braille. We would like to thank all teachers in-charge of the program and everybody who were involved in this session.
