A session on the late Fr. Stan Swamy s.j. was held on 3rd July 2023 from 11:40 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. to commemorate his 2nd death anniversary at SXBA. Fr.Frazer s.j. our guest speaker was welcomed with a round of applause. This session was hugely anticipated by the students so that they could know more about Fr. Stan Swamy s.j.

The students from Stds. 7-10 were present for the session. A video was shown wherein

Fr. Stan was sharing and talking about his bond with the Adivasis in Jharkhand and their rich culture and heritage. He also mentioned about the struggles of the Adivasis and tribals. 

Fr. Frazer shared some personal stories about his interactions with Fr. Stan. The PowerPoint presentation showed Fr. Stan conducting seminars and educating people about the situation of the Adivasis. Fr. Stan Swamy who endeavoured to bring changes constitutionally for the rights of the weaker sections of society, was put in Taloja jail, later contracted Covid and died  because of heart failure at Holy Family Hospital- Bandra at the age of 84 years.

Fr. Frazer answered the students’ questions and cleared all doubts. Our Manager -Fr. Arul John Bosco s.j. shared his thoughts on the session and raised some

thought-provoking questions. The session ended with the principal's address followed by the closing prayer and the national song.

The session was interactive and interesting and it made us aware of the contributions of Fr. Stan Swamy s.j. for the upliftment of the underprivileged.
