The English Inter-House Elocution Competition was conducted on 25th July, 2024 in the Solagran Auditorium. The competition was conducted in two slots and categories. The first slot from 8:00 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. had the Seniors (Std 8-10) who participated in the Elocution Competition. The second slot from 9:20 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. had the Juniors (Std 5-7) who participated in the Poem Recitation Competition. The theme for both the seniors and the juniors was Leadership and Bridge Building keeping in line with our school’s theme of the year ‘Learning to Lead and Build Bridges’.

The comperes for the Seniors were Aarav Chudasama and Mohammed Khatri and for the juniors the comperes were Dhruv Mendon and Abdul Rehman Penwala. The judges for the competition were the former Principal of SXBA Mrs. Shirley D’silva and the Speech and Drama teacher of the primary section Mrs. Luisa Pereira. There were three participants each from the Kabir, Nehru, Tilak and Tagore houses for both the juniors and the seniors category.

With a deep sense of appreciation, we thank our English teachers for their untiring efforts in training the participants and ensuring that they put their best foot forward. I also want to thank our judges, compères, the participants and the support staff who helped make this competition a success.
