ASH Wednesday
Dust we are and dust we shall return to (Ashes a reminder of the equality of all living creatures)
After a very long gap of nearly two and a half years the long awaited physical classes for all students from Stds. 5 to 10 finally started on 2nd March 2022. At the end of this day a few Catholic students, parents and staff of all the sections met for a first physical spiritual experience through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist it being Ash Wednesday on 2nd March, 2022. The Eucharistic celebration which commenced at 1 p.m. in the School Hall was presided over by our very own S.X.B.A Manager - Fr. Blaise D'souza S.J.
The theme for the Eucharist was ‘Dust we are and dust we shall return to (Ashes a reminder of the equality of all living creatures).’ Fr. Blaise gave a very reflective and thought inspiring homily and pointed out that we need to change our behaviour and attitude towards the Environment and also live in peace and harmony with our fellow human beings (with reference to the Russia- Ukraine War). It was then followed by the Prayer of the Faithful where intentions were made for the Heads of the Church, for the youth, for the leaders of the State to work towards protecting the environment, for peace between Russia and Ukraine and for the 10th standard students that they may do well in their Board Examinations.
The first day of full day school from 7.15 am to 1.00 pm thus ended on a spiritual note and with the blessings of God with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
