Navaratri Festival Celebration (PTA Activity) – 4th October 2022

The PTA members of SXBA celebrated the festival ‘Navaratri’ on 4^th October 2022 for all the three sections of the school at 11.00 a.m. for the Pre-Primary and Stds. 5 & 6 students, at 12.15 p.m. for the Secondary section (Stds.7-10) students and staff members and at 1.30 p.m. for the Primary Staff and students. The programme started with the lighting of the diyas by the Heads of the school, the School Captain –Keval Parekh, a Sevak and the members of the PTA core team.

At the outset Mrs.Sejal Parekh recited a shlok that captured the essence of the lighting of the diyas. Our cultural programme started with a prayerful ‘Diya Dance’ by Ms.Roohi Shaikh and Mrs. Tripti Dahibhavkar. This was followed by a PPT to explain the 9 forms of Maa Durga and the significance of Navaratri and Dussehra. Navaratri without ‘garba’ is not possible. A well-choreographed garba performance by our students, teachers and parents in colourful costumes was the highlight of the day. Jalebi and Papdi was distributed to all the students, teachers and sevaks in school as part of the celebrations at the end of the day. The School Captain–Keval Parekh and the Principal –Ms.Preema Noronha expressed their appreciation to all the PTA members for putting up such a wonderful show.
