Investiture Ceremony Academic Year 2022 - 23
The Investiture Ceremony is not just a programme but is a solemn occasion where all the young students are prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. The same took place at our school St. Xavier's Boys' Academy, on 1st July 2022 at 8:30 a.m. in the school hall.
The investiture ceremony began with a March past by the elected student council members. Our Respected Principal, Ms. Preema Noronha administered the oath of office to the School Captain - Keval Parekh and School Vice-Captain - Jinen Chhadva. The School captain then addressed the council members and administered the oath of office to them. The student council members of the academic year 2021 - 22 handed over the flags to the newly elected council members. The flags were raised with pride and honour to show our love and respect to the school.
The Principal addressed the Council members, students and the audience and shared her thoughts and hopes of how we need to be ‘Ecological Leaders’ with the help of 7 principles i.e Purpose, being human centred, embracing our diversity, being inclusive and with a non violent management approach, balancing the feminine and masculine energy and receiving feedback.
Our guests of honour - parents of the council members were extremely happy and proud to see their children reach new heights.
The programme ended on a positive note where every Xavierite took the students' oath, where they promised to be loyal and faithful to their school and their duties and to care for the Earth.
I would like to express my gratitude to our Principal -Ms. Preema Noronha and teachers –
Mr. Anand Prakash and Mr. Luis Rodrigues for training us for the investiture ceremony.
Keval Parekh
