An orientation for Principals of schools in the A/B and C/D wards was held at ‘Blossoms High School’ from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on 17th June 2023. This was presided over by Mr.Ravikiran Birhade – Deputy Education Inspector – A Ward.

The topics discussed ranged from filling of various documents namely ‘Sanchamanyata’, Shaalasiddhi, Udise Plus to presentations made on various scholarships for minorities by guest speakers. The importance to upgrade the teaching and learning of the Marathi language in all schools in Maharashtra, skill development through ICT, Zilla Balbhavan Yogna were other topics that were discussed.

The need for schools’ participation in the ‘Maharashtra State Scholarship exams for Std.5 and Std.8’ was stressed upon and the urgency to form two committees namely –  The PTA and the School Transport Committee (mandatory for all schools) was explained.

Mr.Birhade mentioned that on 20th June 2023 a rally would be held – ‘Run for Education’  (G-20 Summit) and urged all schools to participate at the ‘Inspire Awards’ and cooperate with the Immunization drive (Vaccination) conducted by the Health Dept.

 The Principal and Jr.Clerk attended this orientation. Since all the points of the agenda were covered on time the meeting concluded at 2.30 p.m. with a vote of thanks to the chair.
