Vachan Prerna Diwas was celebrated on 15th October to Honour our late President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his Birth anniversary.

This day is observed so that children understand the importance of reading and are encouraged to develop it as a hobby. Books not only inspire us but also provide knowledge. Even though technology has brought in many changes in the way we read, it has only enhanced our ability to get connected to different sources of knowledge through reading. The event started with the students talking about their favorite authors and books. Each on was given a small token of appreciation in the form of a bookmark. The Principal and the Supervisor appreciated the students for their interest in reading. 

I strongly urge each one of you to cultivate the habit of reading.
