“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Our school organized a Social Service In-House Camp from 3rd December to 6th December 2025, exemplifying the spirit of compassion, hospitality, and community bonding. As part of this meaningful initiative, the Std. IX students of our school hosted 88 students from Prabodhan Vidyalaya, Ambatha, a Jesuit rural institution, for a well-planned social service programme.
The visiting students were accorded a warm and heartfelt welcome, making them feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. One of the highlights of the camp was an Art Workshop conducted by our talented Art teacher, Ms. Vipula Patel, which encouraged creativity, self-expression, and interaction among the students.
To broaden their exposure and provide experiential learning, the students were taken on educational and recreational visits to various places of interest in Mumbai, including Wankhede Stadium, an exciting Metro ride, Nehru Science Centre and Planetarium, Jijamata Udyan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum, the iconic Gateway of India, followed by a memorable boat ride, and a refreshing walk along Marine Drive. Our students also extended their assistance to the guests during a shopping visit to Fashion Street, fostering friendship and cooperation.
An Entertainment Programme held on the final day added vibrancy to the camp, where students from both schools showcased their talents through various performances, celebrating unity in diversity.
All meals were thoughtfully arranged by the school, with generous support from parents, ex-parents, and other well-wishers who sponsored some of the meals, gifts, and monetary contributions, reflecting the collective goodwill of the school community.
The Social Service In-House Camp proved to be a rewarding experience of fellowship, mutual learning, and cultural exchange. It instilled values of empathy, sharing, and social responsibility, leaving behind cherished memories and lasting bonds for students of both schools.
