The Annual Inter-House Debate Competition was successfully conducted in the school hall from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across houses and provided a stimulating platform to express ideas on contemporary global themes.
The first debate was between Nehru House and Tagore House on the topic “Global citizenship depends on empathy and creativity.” Nehru House spoke for the motion, while Tagore House presented arguments against it. Both teams put forth well-researched and articulate points. After careful evaluation, Tagore House was declared the winner. The Best Speaker awards for this debate were won by Brydon Lemos and Shreyans Dalia (Nehru House) for their confident delivery and compelling arguments.
The second debate featured Kabir House versus Tilak House on the topic “Creative mind is the key to solving global challenges.” Kabir House argued for the motion, while Tilak House argued against it. The debate was engaging and thought-provoking, highlighting diverse perspectives on creativity and problem-solving. Kabir House emerged as the winner of this round. The Best Speaker awards were conferred upon Shaurya Shah and Kartavya Khandekar for their clarity of thought and persuasive speaking skills.
The event was judged by Dr. Kamlesh Desai and Dr. Priti Sivaramakrishnan, whose insightful feedback and fair judgment were greatly appreciated by participants and teachers alike.
Overall, the Inter-House Debate Competition was a resounding success, fostering critical thinking, confidence, and effective communication among students while reinforcing the importance of global awareness and creativity.
