084 Primary Section : Children’s Day
St. Xavier's Boys' Academy, celebrated Children’s Day on the 29th November, 2023, with great festive fervour, to commemorate the 130th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The programme began with a special assembly/prayer service conducted by the teachers, followed by the lightning of the lamp. The programme clearly depicted the spirit of the occasion with teachers holding the stage and putting up a mesmerising cultural show for the children. After the skit was performed the manager Rev. Fr. Dr. Arul John Bosco through a speech inspired the boys to work hard. The following cultural programme had a series of interesting and exciting events, all planned meticulously for complete entertainment. Teachers of the all the secondary and pre-primary section enthralled the audience with their energetic and graceful moves with their bamboo and Tippni dance. Students pulsated with excitement when their primary teachers presented a gujrati dance bringing together their poetry of footsteps to the trendy song 'khalasi'. The celebratory mood continued with an invigorating and foot-tapping ‘Bhangra’ by teachers of Primary section. Subsequently, a prayer song was presented by a group of secondary teachers. Students were elated to see their teachers performing and celebrating the day with zeal and enthusiasm. Later the Vice Principal addressed and encouraged students to dream big and work hard. He also appreciated the teachers for their lively performance. Children’s Day was marked with grand splendour and fiesta as the school campus buzzed with excitement and joy as it was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated. The children came dressed in casual clothes and relished their favourite food with classmates. A small sweet treat and a token of love was give to the boys by the school. Students greatly enjoyed watching their mentors perform for them with great enthusiasm. At the end Master Richard D'Souza of std IV expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for putting up such an enjoyable day. It was a day full of joy and laughter for the students.
