065 TEACHERS’ EFFECTIVENESS ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM–PUNE (19/9/23-21/9/23)
A seminar on ‘Teachers’ Effectiveness Enhancement’ for selected teachers of Jesuit Schools was organized for the western province of India by the Conference Secretariat for School Education on 19th, 20th and 21st September, at the Jnan Deep campus, Pune.
Two teacher representatives from each Jesuit school of the Goa, Gujarat and Mumbai Province were expected to attend. The topics covered were as follows:
● The Purpose
● Milestones and Early Jesuit Education
● Reinventing- To be the best version of yourself
● NEP 2020- Structural Changes in School Education / Focus-Areas in Teaching- Learning
● Effective Questioning Skills and Determining Learning Outcomes
● Preferential Option for the Poor
● The Core Values in Jesuit Education
● 21st Century Skills for Teachers
● Care for Students
● Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
● Universal Apostolic Preferences and Identifiers of a Jesuit School
The resource persons were Fr. Anand s.j., Fr. Ravi John s.j., Fr. Francis Gonsalves s.j.
Bro. Tommy s.j. Fr. Conrad s.j. and Fr Anish s.j. The sessions were interactive and insightful and the participants benefited greatly from the expertise of the Resource Persons who were highly qualified in their respective fields and Principals or holding important positions as Educators. Through group sharing sessions, innovative ideas and effective teaching practices were shared by teachers of the Western Province of Jesuits schools. A concluding session was conducted to instruct teachers that these sessions would have to be conducted in their schools for all the other teachers and take TEEP forward.
Set in the sprawling greenery of a beautiful campus, every endeavour was made to meet the spiritual and intellectual needs of the participants. Nutritious and tasty meals and comfortable lodging was also provided, thanks to the meticulous planning and execution of the organizers.
