Celebration of Marathi Raj Bhasha Diwas – 27th February 2023
To honour and respect Marathi Bhasha our State language at SXBA Marathi Raj Bhasha Diwas was celebrated in school. A special assembly was conducted by the Marathi department of our school. The day began with the lighting of the lamp by parents, a student, Vice Principal and Principal. The whole programme was conducted in Marathi. The hosts were Jai Pednekar and Prathamesh Avhad. Amogh Dhawade recited a prayer which was followed by a speech by Anshul Anchalwar who explained to us about the importance of Marathi Diwas. A powerpoint presentation made by Aryan Babardesai gave us information about Marathi Diwas and our Maharashtrian culture. Yashash Dandekar a student sang ‘Nishchayacha Mahameru’ written by Sant Ramdas - a summary of the same was given by Aryan Babardesai in English. Mrs.Shweta Pednekar (parent) gave us a wonderful speech on how we could master the Marathi language and also gave us tips to make it easier for us to do so in our everyday life. The programme ended with the pledge recited in Marathi and the singing of the State song followed by the National Anthem.
The Principal thanked Mr.Reynold D’Cruz the teacher in charge of this programme for all the efforts he put in to give us a memorable assembly, the parents for being present and for their tasks well done, the staff as also the students who participated in the programme.
