The Amrit Mohotsav of our independence was celebrated with great enthusiasm and funfair on 15th August, 2022 at St. Xavier’s Boys’ Academy. The theme for this Independence Day was ‘ Har Ghar Tiranga and Mr. Luis Rodrigues, a teacher, was the chief guest on this special occasion.

The programme started at 8 :30 a.m. with a warm welcome followed by the Class 10th Prize distribution ceremony. As soon as the national flag was hoisted at 9 a.m, the national anthem was sung with great pride. Thereafter a Patriotic song was sung by the teachers .

This was followed by a prayer service, speech by school captain Keval Parekh, a musical , speech by chief guest, a mesmerizing dance by parents, an inspiring speech by Manager, a spirited dance performance by students and last but not the least the Principal thanked everyone for their efforts.

Independence day is an occasion to remember the sacrifice of our freedom fighters and makes us realise that it is our duty to work towards the development of our nation. It was an informative and inspirational programme.
