“Leadership is the ability to translate vision into reality.”
The students and staff of St. Xavier’s Boys’ Academy came together to celebrate Manager’s Day with great joy and enthusiasm on the occasion of the birthday of our esteemed Manager, Dr. Fr. Francis Swamy, s.j. The celebration began with a warm welcome to Father, where the entire school community gathered to express their love and gratitude. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. Father was joined in this auspicious moment by the Principal Ms. Monica Rose, Headmistress Ms. Minelia Monteiro, Pre- Primary co-ordinator Ms. Sandra Macmohan, and Supervisor Ms. Heena Pereira. This was followed by a prayer led by a student from the Primary Section, seeking God’s blessings upon Fr. Swamy and the school.
Adding colour and charm to the celebration, the Pre-Primary students presented a cute and heartwarming dance performance that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The Primary boys followed with a lively and expressive choral recitation, conveying their love and appreciation for Fr. Swamy through their words. A special highlight of the event was a PowerPoint presentation showcasing Father’s inspiring journey, his leadership qualities, and his numerous achievements as a visionary leader and a lifelong learner. This tribute deeply moved everyone present.
The cultural programme continued with an energetic dance performance by the Primary Section students, filling the hall with cheer and excitement. The Secondary Section too contributed to the festive mood with a grand and spirited dance performance that saw participation from both junior and senior boys, making the moment truly special. After the performances, the felicitation ceremony took place, where all three sections—Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary—came forward to honour Fr. Swamy with tokens of love and appreciation. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Principal, Ms. Monica Rose, expressing gratitude to Father for his inspiring leadership, constant guidance, and dedication towards the growth and well-being of the school community. Ms Rose also thanked all the teachers who worked hard for the program. The day was truly a memorable one, filled with joy, gratitude, and fond memories that will remain with everyone for years to come.
